About

My name’s Rosie. I’m a tattoo artist and illustrator from Norwich, Norfolk. I currently split my time between my private studio in the centre of Norwich and Braille Window in Dalston, east London.

I draw most of my inspiration from nature, found objects, and my background in textile design. My work explores the balance between organic and ornamental elements, often depicting flora and fauna as motifs or patterns. When drawing animals, I’m inspired by the simplified forms of sculptors such as Armand Petersen and Rosetta.

After studying textile design at university, I worked as an illustrator for three years before learning to tattoo at the end of 2022. My tattoos are mostly hand-poked, although I occasionally use a machine for larger pieces or when I want to achieve a different texture. Regardless of the method, I use minimal lines and dotwork shading to create tattoos that feel natural on the skin.
